With her slip at the end of Annapolis City Dock, Harbor Queen is a prime viewing location for this festive Annapolis tradition!
Beverages will be available for purchase on the boat (Cash Only) and a portion of proceeds from the bar will be donated to the Food Bank. Light holiday treats provided by Wegmans. Sponsored by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
Harbor Queen will be decorated for the holidays and representatives from the Food Bank will be in attendance. Guests are encouraged to dress warm for the evening and bring their holiday spirit to Annapolis to help those in need. On-leash pets are welcome on board. All are welcome. No reservations or tickets necessary.
About the 2013 Queen of All Food Drives
The 2013 Eastport Yacht Club Parade of Lights took place on a rainy evening but we didn't let it dampen our Food Drive fun! Along with our special guests from the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, we welcomed guests onboard for a dry place to watch the Parade. Guests munched on treats from Wegman's, enjoyed hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps from the bar and watched the lighted boats strut their stuff through the Annapolis Harbor. Our friends from WNAV 1430 also joined us for the evening and broadcasted live from the boat. A few lucky guests -- including our "living Christmas tree" -- were interviewed on the air.
In the past three years, The Queen of All Food Drives has raised thousands of dollars in cash donations and thousands of pounds of food for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. In Anne Arundel County, 1 in 16 residents are below the poverty line and over 1/3 are children. The fundraiser was sponsored by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to hosting this special event again in 2014!
