National Anthem Tour by Sea
The National Anthem Tour by Sea is Cruises on the Bay by Watermark’s newest offering. This narrated hour cruise in Baltimore celebrates the War of 1812 bicentennial. Our Inner Harbor Cruises are a great – and unique – choice when planning what to do in Baltimore and this tour is a fun way to take in Maryland history.
It's the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Baltimore Harbor played a significant role during this time in history. Guests will learn the story of the War of 1812 in Maryland and the state’s pivotal role in securing America’s independence and how our nation got two of its most enduring icons – the National Anthem and the flag. Our Baltimore Harbor Cruise includes lively narration and includes the sights of the Baltimore Inner Harbor and Baltimore attractions, out to Fort McHenry and beyond. The tour may leave you with misty eyes as a recording of the United States Naval Academy Glee Club singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” ushers you ashore. See the Baltimore harbor of today while hearing about the lives of people during the War of 1812.
